Airfryer Crookies

Airfryer Crookies

An Airfryer Croissant with Cookie is a delicious and quick treat that combines the crispiness of a croissant with the sweetness and texture of a cookie. This recipe uses ready-made croissant dough and a simple cookie filling, and it's perfect for a quick and tasty snack!

Ingredients:

  • 1 roll of ready-made croissant dough (usually found in the supermarket)
  • 50 g butter (melted)
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 75 g flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 30 g chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for extra flavor)

Supplies:

  • Airfryer
  • Baking paper
  • Mixing bowl
  • Brush to spread the butter

Preparation:

  1. Make the cookie filling:

    • Melt the butter in a bowl and add the brown sugar, vanilla extract, flour, salt and cinnamon if desired. Mix well until you have a thick, sticky batter.
    • Add the chocolate chips if using and mix them into the dough.
  2. Prepare the croissants:

    • Roll out the croissant dough and cut the triangular pieces as indicated on the packaging.
    • Brush the top of each triangle with a little melted butter.
  3. Fill the croissants:

    • Place a small amount of the cookie filling on the wide side of each croissant triangle. You don't need a lot of filling, a tablespoon per croissant is enough. Fold the sides of the triangle slightly over the filling and roll the croissant tightly towards the point.
  4. Bake the croissants in the air fryer:

    • Line the air fryer basket with baking paper to prevent the croissants from sticking to the bottom.
    • Place the croissants in the airfryer and bake them at 160°C for about 8-10 minutes , or until golden brown and crispy. The baking time may vary slightly depending on your airfryer, so keep a close eye on them.
  5. Finish:

    • Remove the croissants from the airfryer and let them cool for a few minutes. They will continue to cook a little bit due to the residual heat.
    • Optional: Sprinkle the warm croissants with a little icing sugar for extra sweetness.
  6. Serve:

    • Serve the croissants warm. They are delicious on their own or with a cup of coffee or tea.

Tips:

  • You can also vary the cookie filling by adding chopped nuts or pieces of dried fruit for more texture.
  • If you like an extra crispy outside, you can brush the croissants with melted butter again before baking.

Enjoy this delicious Croissant with Cookie from the airfryer – perfect for a quick snack or a delicious breakfast!
