Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich | from the Airfryer

The Philly Cheese Steak is an American classic, which we transform into a tasty Airfryer sandwich! This hearty sandwich, inspired by the original version from Philadelphia, is generously topped with roast beef, melted cheese, green pepper and onion. Perfect for a hearty lunch!

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of artisan bread
  • 100 grams of roast beef or thin steak strips
  • 2 slices of young cheese
  • Half an onion
  • Half a green pepper
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation method

  1. Cut the onion into thin half rings and the pepper into thin strips.
  2. Briefly fry the onion and pepper in a frying pan with a little oil.
  3. Top a slice of bread with cheese, place the roast beef on top and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the fried onion and pepper, fold the sandwich closed, and brush the outsides with butter.
  5. Bake the sandwich for 7 minutes at 190°C in the preheated air fryer until crispy and golden brown.

TIP: Delicious with a little barbecue sauce!
