Irresistible Airfryer French Toast: Quick, easy and delicious!🥞✨
French toast is a classic breakfast favorite, and the air fryer makes it even easier and healthier! With a perfectly crispy outside and a soft, flavorful inside, this is the ultimate quick breakfast. In just 15 minutes, you can have a delicious dish on the table that you can top with your favorite treats.
Ingredients (for 2 persons):
- 4 slices of white bread
- 4 medium eggs
- 200 ml milk
- 2 tsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Your favorite toppings (e.g. fresh fruit, syrup, icing sugar or nuts)
Preparation method
1. Prepare the bread
- Cut each slice of bread into 2 rectangles and set aside. Preheat the airfryer to 180°C (356°F).
2. Make the mixture
- In a large bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract and cinnamon until smooth.
3. Soak the bread
- Dip the bread pieces in the egg mixture and let them soak for about 2 minutes. Turn them over so that both sides are well coated.
Top Tip: Soak the bread in the fridge overnight for extra flavour and a perfectly soft texture!
4. Prepare the airfryer
- Line the basket with baking paper or a silicone mat and spray lightly with oil. Place the French toast in the basket, leaving some space between them for even cooking.
5. Bake to perfection
- Bake the French toast in the airfryer for 5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Check halfway through and turn if necessary for an even result.
6. Serve and enjoy
- Serve the warm French toast immediately with your favorite toppings, such as fresh fruit, syrup or a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
