Crispy Bear Bite from the Airfryer 🐻🍢
Enjoy the classic bear snack with a modern twist! Crispy meatballs and sweet, fried onion rings, perfectly prepared in the airfryer. A tasty snack or side dish that is easy to make and comes out of the airfryer deliciously crispy.
Ingredients:
- 4 large meatballs (homemade or ready-made)
- 2 onions (cut into rings)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 4 skewers

Cut the meatballs into even slices. Mix the onion rings in a bowl with olive oil, salt and pepper, so that they are well seasoned. -
Compose:
Thread alternately a slice of meatball and an onion ring onto a skewer. Repeat until the skewer is full, making sure the onion is firmly between the meatballs. -
Air frying:
Preheat the airfryer to 180°C. Place the bear bites in the basket and bake for 10-12 minutes. Turn them halfway for a nice golden brown and crispy result. -
Serve:
Remove the bear bites from the air fryer and serve them immediately with a spicy sauce such as satay sauce, mustard or garlic sauce for extra flavor.
Tips:
- Seasoning: Give the meatballs a unique twist by seasoning them beforehand with paprika powder, cumin or garlic powder.
- Extra crispiness: Add a light coating of breadcrumbs to the meatball slices before threading them.
