Chicken Tikka Curry

🍛🔥 Chicken Tikka Curry from the airfryer! A delicious, spicy and creamy curry that you can easily make yourself. Perfect with rice or naan for a tasty meal! 😍

🛒 Ingredients (for 2-3 persons):

For the chicken tikka:

  • 400 g chicken thigh fillet, diced
  • 3 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra spice)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

For the curry:

  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 200 ml diced tomatoes
  • 100 ml coconut milk or cream
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil

🔥 Preparation method:

1️⃣ Marinate the chicken : Mix the chicken with the yoghurt, herbs and lemon juice. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (longer = more flavour!).
2️⃣ Airfryer : Bake the chicken for 10-12 minutes at 200°C until golden brown.
3️⃣ Make curry : Fry the onion and garlic in a pan with butter. Add garam masala and curry powder and fry briefly.
4️⃣ Add the diced tomatoes and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Then add the coconut milk or cream and let it simmer gently.
5️⃣ Add the grilled chicken from the airfryer and let it simmer for another 5 minutes .

Serve with: warm rice, naan bread and fresh coriander! 🌿
