In just 15 minutes you can conjure up a tasty dinner that is both light and filling, with only 415 calories and a whopping 43 grams of protein. Perfect for anyone who loves tasty meals without the fuss.

Why you want to try it: Tender chicken pieces marinated in aromatic tikka paste are cooked to a perfect golden brown and slightly crispy consistency in the air fryer. Served with crispy fries, warm flatbreads, and a refreshing yogurt sauce, you have a dish that tastes just as good as your favorite takeout—but healthier and faster.

Ingredients:

  • 200 g chicken fillet , diced
  • 2 tablespoons tikka paste (preferably from Patak's)
  • 200 g frozen fries
  • 2-3 flatbreads (preferably whole wheat)
  • Handful of iceberg lettuce , finely chopped
  • ½ red onion , thinly sliced

For the yoghurt sauce:

  • 3-4 tablespoons Greek yogurt (full fat for extra creaminess)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Handful of fresh coriander , finely chopped
  • Pinch of sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Preparation method:

  1. Marinate the chicken : Mix the chicken fillet cubes with the tikka paste so that each piece is well coated with the rich flavours. Then thread the marinated chicken onto metal skewers.

  2. Airfryer action : Place the chicken skewers and frozen fries in the airfryer basket in a single layer. Set the airfryer to 200°C and bake for 14 minutes. Shake halfway through to ensure even cooking and crisping.

  3. Make the Yogurt Sauce : While the chicken and fries are cooking, stir together the Greek yogurt, lime juice, and chopped cilantro in a bowl. Season with sea salt and pepper to taste and set the sauce aside.

  4. Heat the flatbreads : While the airfryer is doing its thing, briefly heat the flatbreads in a dry frying pan or microwave until they are nice and warm and soft. Spread a layer of the yoghurt sauce on each flatbread and top with the crispy iceberg lettuce and red onion.

  5. Serve : Remove the chicken skewers and fries from the airfryer once they are golden brown and crispy. Place the chicken skewers on top of the flatbreads, together with the fries. Drizzle with some extra yoghurt sauce for an extra fresh kick.

Perfect for a busy day: These Chicken Tikka Kebabs are the ideal meal for when you are short on time but still want something nutritious. The combination of juicy chicken, crispy fries and the refreshing yoghurt sauce makes for an explosion of flavours that will satisfy even the most demanding eaters.

In no time at all you'll have a healthy meal on the table that tastes just as good as take-out – but with fewer calories and much more protein!
