Airfryer Meatloaf: Juicy, Crispy and Delicious

Discover the magic of meatloaf in the airfryer! This dish is juicy on the inside, deliciously crispy on the outside and easy to make. Perfect as comfort food with a warm meal, served with cherries or a fresh salad. With minimal effort and cleanup you get an impressive result.

Ingredients (for 2-3 persons):
- 400 g minced meat (preferably pork-veal, but any mix will work)
- 1 small egg
- 1.5 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- Salt and pepper

Preparation method:

1. Prepare:
Preheat your airfryer to 180°C. Make sure you have a baking dish that fits in your airfryer basket, or use baking paper or aluminum foil as an alternative.

2. Mix and shape:
Mix the minced meat with the egg, breadcrumbs, a pinch of pepper and salt in a large bowl. Knead everything well together and shape the mixture into a firm meatloaf.

3. Optional searing:
For an extra crispy crust, you can briefly sear the meatloaf in a hot pan with a little oil. This is not necessary, but it gives a delicious texture.

4. In the air fryer:
Place the meatloaf in a baking dish or on an airfryer basket covered with baking paper/aluminum foil. Brush the top of the meatloaf with melted butter for a nice shine and extra flavor.

5. Baking:
Bake the meatloaf in the airfryer for 25 minutes. Then check the doneness by sticking a skewer in the middle. Does clear liquid come out? Then your meatloaf is perfectly done!

6. Let it rest:
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before cutting into it. This will help the juices stay in the meat and make the loaf extra juicy.

7. Serving:
Slice the meatloaf and serve warm. Delicious with cherries, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.

Tip: Add extra spices to taste, such as paprika powder, garlic powder or Italian herbs, to give your meatloaf a personal twist. Be surprised by how simple and tasty this dish comes out of your airfryer! 🎉
