Chicken Gyros

Here's a delicious and simple recipe for Chicken Gyros from the airfryer! 🌯🔥 Perfect for in a pita, on a salad or just with some fries.

🛒 Ingredients (for 2-3 persons):

  • 400 g chicken thigh fillet (or chicken breast), thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional, for extra depth)
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (or to taste)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

🥙 Optional for serving:

  • Pita breads
  • Tzatziki or garlic sauce
  • Tomato, cucumber, red onion

🔥 Preparation method:

1️⃣ Mix the chicken strips with olive oil, lemon juice and all the spices. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes (longer = more flavor!).
2️⃣ Preheat the air fryer to 200°C .
3️⃣ Place the chicken in the basket and cook for 10-12 minutes , shaking halfway through.
4️⃣ Serve the gyros in a pita with tzatziki and vegetables, or with fries and salad.
