Crispy Nachos with Tomato Salsa and Cheese from the Airfryer

Enjoy the ultimate snacking experience with these homemade nachos! Deliciously seasoned, crispy fried and combined with a fresh, flavorful tomato salsa. Perfect for sharing at a party, movie night, or as comfort food. And the best part? Everything comes straight from the Airfryer!

Ingredients

For the nachos
- 5 tsp paprika powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 2 tsp oregano
- 1.5 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 3 pcs tortillas
- Olive oil

For the tomato salsa
- 2 tbsp capers
- 2 anchovy fillets
- 2 cloves of garlic
- A few sprigs of parsley
- 1 lime (both zest and juice)
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 200 g diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
- Salt and pepper to taste

For finishing
- 200 g grated cheese (cheddar or a mix of your choice)
- A few sprigs of fresh coriander

Preparation method

Crispy Nachos
1. Make a spice mix
- Mix the paprika powder, coriander powder, oregano, cumin powder, cayenne pepper and onion powder in a bowl.

2. Prepare tortillas
- Cut the tortillas into small triangles. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle generously with the spice mix. Make sure each triangle is well covered.

3. Baking in the Airfryer
- Preheat the Airfryer to 150°C.
- Place the tortilla triangles in the basket of the Airfryer and place a small rack on top to prevent them from blowing away.
- Bake them for 15 minutes until crispy. Then increase the temperature to 160°C and bake for a few more minutes until golden brown.

Tomato salsa
4. Prepare salsa
- Finely chop the capers, anchovy fillets, garlic and parsley.
- Add this mixture to a small baking dish or bowl that fits in the Airfryer.
- Grate the lime over it, squeeze the juice, and add the tomato cubes. Season with cumin powder, pepper and salt.

5. Heat the salsa
- Heat the salsa in the Airfryer for 5-7 minutes at 160°C, so that the flavors come together well.

Compose nacho dish
6. Cheese sensation
- Divide the crispy nachos in a baking pan or on a plate. Sprinkle with the grated cheese and put back in the Airfryer for 5 minutes at 160°C, until the cheese has melted.

7. Finishing
- Chop the fresh coriander and sprinkle over the nachos. Serve with the warm tomato salsa and an extra wedge of lime if desired.


Serving suggestion: Combine with guacamole or sour cream for an even richer experience. Guaranteed to be a treat! 🌶️🧀
