Airfryer Chicken and Bacon Fried Rice – Quick, Tasty and Simple

- 300 g chicken fillet steaks
- 4 slices of bacon without rind
- 450 g microwave long grain rice
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce (+ extra for drizzling)
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 3 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
- 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
- 120 g frozen peas
- 2 spring onions (thinly sliced)
- 1 optional red chili pepper (thinly sliced)
How to Make Chicken and Bacon Fried Rice in the Airfryer
Step 1: Prepare the chicken and bacon
Preheat the airfryer to 180°C. Place the chicken fillets and bacon slices on a rack suitable for the airfryer. Bake for 8 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. Remove from the airfryer and let cool slightly.
Step 2: Prepare the rice
Loosen the rice grains in the packaging with your fingers. Heat the rice in the microwave for 1 minute. Place the rice in a round, heatproof ovenproof dish or a cake tin of about 20 cm with high sides. Add the oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and 2 tablespoons of water. Stir everything well.
Place the bowl in the air fryer and cook the rice for 5 minutes, or until soft and flavorful.
Step 3: Add the egg, vegetables and meat
In the meantime, cut the cooled chicken and bacon into pieces. Remove the bowl of rice from the airfryer and stir in the beaten eggs, peas, chicken and half of the bacon. Fry the mixture in the airfryer for another 3 minutes, or until the egg is completely set. Add half of the spring onion and season with salt and white pepper.
Step 4: Serve and enjoy
Spoon the fried rice onto plates and garnish with the remaining spring onion, bacon and optional red chili pepper for a spicy twist. Drizzle with a little extra oyster sauce for extra flavor. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious airfryer meal!
