Delicious Apple Turnovers from the Airfryer 🍎

Ingredients:
- 4 sheets of puff pastry (thawed)
- 2 apples (peeled and diced)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs

Make the filling:
In a bowl, mix the apple cubes with the granulated sugar, cinnamon and breadcrumbs. This will make a delicious, creamy filling. -
Prepare the apple turnovers:
Place a sheet of puff pastry on a work surface. Spoon a generous tablespoon of the apple mixture into the center. Fold the puff pastry diagonally in half to form a triangle and press the edges firmly with a fork. -
Brush and preheat:
Brush the top of the apple turnovers with beaten egg for a nice golden brown result. In the meantime, preheat the airfryer to 180°C. -
Baking:
Place the apple turnovers in the basket of the airfryer. Make sure they do not touch each other for even cooking. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy. -
Serve:
Sprinkle the warm apple turnovers with a little icing sugar for an extra sweet touch. Serve them immediately or let them cool down a bit.
