Apple turnovers | From the Airfryer

Delicious Apple Turnovers from the Airfryer 🍎

Enjoy these crispy and golden brown apple turnovers, filled with a warm, sweet apple-cinnamon mix. Perfect as a dessert, snack or treat! With the airfryer they are ready quickly and extra crispy.

Ingredients:

  • 4 sheets of puff pastry (thawed)
  • 2 apples (peeled and diced)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs

Preparation method:

  1. Make the filling:
    In a bowl, mix the apple cubes with the granulated sugar, cinnamon and breadcrumbs. This will make a delicious, creamy filling.

  2. Prepare the apple turnovers:
    Place a sheet of puff pastry on a work surface. Spoon a generous tablespoon of the apple mixture into the center. Fold the puff pastry diagonally in half to form a triangle and press the edges firmly with a fork.

  3. Brush and preheat:
    Brush the top of the apple turnovers with beaten egg for a nice golden brown result. In the meantime, preheat the airfryer to 180°C.

  4. Baking:
    Place the apple turnovers in the basket of the airfryer. Make sure they do not touch each other for even cooking. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

  5. Serve:
    Sprinkle the warm apple turnovers with a little icing sugar for an extra sweet touch. Serve them immediately or let them cool down a bit.

Tip: Add raisins or chopped nuts to the filling for extra flavor. These apple turnovers are irresistibly delicious with a cup of tea or coffee! ☕✨
