🔥🍗 Crispy Chili Chicken from the airfryer! Crispy, spicy and full of flavor - the perfect combination of crispy chicken and a sweet and spicy chili sauce! 😍🌶️
🛒 Ingredients (for 2-3 persons):
For the chicken:
- 400 g chicken fillet or chicken thigh fillet, diced
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt & pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp panko or breadcrumbs (optional, for extra crunch)
- 1 tbsp oil
For the chili sauce:
- 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sriracha (optional, for extra spice)
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
- 1 tsp sesame oil
🔥 Preparation method:
1️⃣ Prepare the chicken: Mix the chicken cubes with the cornstarch, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Roll them in the beaten egg and then in the panko.
2️⃣ Airfryer: Spray or brush the chicken with a little oil and bake for 12-14 min at 200°C , until golden brown and crispy. Shake halfway through.
3️⃣ Making the sauce: Mix all the ingredients for the chili sauce in a pan and heat briefly until it starts to bubble.
4️⃣ Combine: Add the crispy chicken to the sauce and toss well to coat each piece.
5️⃣ Serve: Garnish with spring onion and sesame seeds and serve with rice or noodles! 🍚😋
