Party Donuts | From the Airfryer

Airfryer Donuts with Festive Glaze 🍩

Treat yourself to irresistibly fluffy donuts, baked to a perfect golden brown in the Airfryer! Decorated with a creamy vanilla glaze and cheerful sprinkles, they are ideal for any festive occasion – or just because you can!

Ingredients:

For the donuts:

  • 250 ml lukewarm full-fat milk
  • 1 sachet of instant yeast (7 g)
  • 50 g granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 50 g melted butter
  • 500 g flour

For the glaze:

  • 100 g soft butter
  • 200 g icing sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla aroma
  • Optional: hot water
  • Festive sprinkles

Preparation method:

  1. Making dough:
    Mix all the ingredients for the donuts in a food processor and knead for 10 minutes until you have a smooth, elastic dough. Form a ball, place it in a lightly greased bowl and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

  2. Forms:
    Dust your work surface with some flour and roll out the dough to a sheet of about 1.5 cm thick. Cut circles out of the dough with a large cutter and make the classic donut hole with a smaller cutter.

  3. Rice:
    Place the donuts on a baking tray lined with baking paper, cover with a tea towel and let rise for another 30 minutes.

  4. Baking in the Airfryer:
    Preheat the Airfryer to 180°C. Brush the top of the donuts with a little sunflower oil. Fry the donuts in batches for 2.5 minutes until golden brown.

  5. Making glaze:
    Beat the soft butter, icing sugar and vanilla essence until smooth. If necessary, add a little hot water to make the icing more fluid.

  6. Decorating:
    Dip the tops of the donuts in the glaze and decorate with festive sprinkles. Let them set – if you can wait that long!
